The runway setting for Karl Lagerfeld’s farewell collection for Chanel was a German alpine village that was installed in the Grand Palais. Penélope Cruz made her debut on the runway holding a single white rose, in designer’s honour.
Many were Lagerfeld’s muses that attended the show, among others Monica Belluci, Kristen Stewart, Clemence Poecy, Marion Cotillard, Caroline de Maigret, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Janelle Monae – the latter wearing our favourite outfit, a divine Chanel Metiers d’Art 2018-19 look.
We loved the fabric’s volumes and the big check textures of the tweeds, as well as Chanel’s classic two-piece.
We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Chanel without Karl Lagerfeld!
