Presenting you here a very distinct color combination that I had been wanting to try out into a jewelry piece for some time now, that of lapis lazuli blue with vivid lavender quartz. In order to make this beautiful cluster dangle earrings pair, I used two superior quality rare lavender quartz rough gems from the legendary Boquira mine in Bahia State of Brazil with lapis lazuli faceted ball beads and two hand-carved lapis lazuli pears in shell shape. The royal blue of the lapis (the shells have some lovely pyrite flecks in the back) combines very charmingly with these brilliant vivid lavender roughs.
I have crafted this pair using:
2 natural untreated superior quality lavender quartz roughs (4 to 5 grams each, approx 2cmX1cm)
2 natural untreated lapis lazuli hand-carved shell-shaped briolettes (approx. 16X12mm)
Natural untreated lapis lazuli faceted ball beads (approx. 5.5mm to 7.5mm)
All metal used is 14K yellow gold-filled (brass base, nickel and lead free, containing 1/20th real gold which is bonded, not just plated/painted on, Made in the USA, very durable)
Drop: approx. 6.5cm (including the ear wire)
A very distinct piece, made with genuine natural untreated gemstones.
This pair of earrings is a one-off piece, designed and handcrafted by Chrysi Z.
