Another new stunning ‘Speira’ style chandelier earrings. My ‘Speira’ design is a real exploration of endless gem and other materials combinations. This particular pair is truly gorheous and very distinct featuring lovely high-luster lavender freshwater pearls, Brazilian citrine and flawless milky-pink smooth opal drops.
‘Speira’ or in Greek, ‘σπείρα’. Speira – or else what we call, spiral – has been one of the most ancient symbols and has been used in Greece since the Paleolithic era. It represents the creation of life and time, it symbolizes their continuity . We find this symbol naturally in various forms, like for example in seashells or in labyrinths and in helix.
I have crafted this pair using:
One pair of natural untreated milky-pink opal drops (21.15 carats, 30X8mm)
Natural untreated Brazilian citrine faceted round cuts (20 pieces, 8X8X6mm)
Natural untreated lavender potato freshwater pearls (6.5mm-7.5mm)
All metal used is 14K yellow gold-filled (brass base, nickel and lead free, containing 1/20th real gold which is bonded, not just plated/painted on, Made in the USA, very durable)
Drop: aapprox. 8cm (including the ear wire) Diameter of the bottom spiral: approx. 4cm (outer pearls)
A very distinct piece, made with genuine natural gemstones.
This pair of earrings is a one-of-a-kind piece, designed and handcrafted by Chrysi Z.
